FAQ & Policies
This page protects you and protects the work. We keep expectations clear so you can focus on results. If you’re unsure about anything — ask. The only rule still applies: “CAN’T” Is NOT an Option.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for adults, youth, and virtual clients.
What makes 1RuleTraining different?
We coach clean form and consistent structure first — then intensity. No random workouts. No ego lifting. We train for real life, real performance, and bodies that last.
How often should I train with a coach?
Most adults see the best results with 2–3 sessions/week (or hybrid: 1 in-person + 1–2 virtual). Youth athletes vary by sport/season, but consistency matters more than “going hard.”
Do you work with injuries or limitations?
Yes — with clear boundaries. We can train injury-aware and modify within safe limits. We are not a medical provider. If you’re under medical care or have restrictions, tell us in intake.
Can beginners train here?
Absolutely. Beginners benefit the most from coaching because form, pacing, and progression get built correctly. The goal is to build confidence and results without getting hurt.
How does camera-on virtual training work?
Live session, both cameras on. De’Angelo coaches your form, tempo, breathing, and modifications in real time. If camera must be off, request alternative options (limits apply for safety).
Do you offer nutrition plans?
We provide practical habits and accountability support, but we do not replace a registered dietitian or medical guidance. For specific medical nutrition needs, we recommend working with licensed professionals.
Training Policies
Clear rules keep training consistent, respectful, and results-driven.
Scheduling & punctuality
Sessions start on time. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to protect the next client’s time. Consistency matters — show up like it matters.
Cancellation policy
Please cancel/reschedule with 24 hours notice when possible. Late cancellations may be charged because that time was held for you.
No-shows
No-shows are treated as a used session or may be charged at the session rate. If something serious happens — communicate. We handle people with respect when respect is mutual.
Payment & refunds
Sessions/packages are paid in advance unless a separate agreement exists. Refunds are generally not provided for used sessions. Unused sessions may be addressed case-by-case.
Health disclosure requirement
You must disclose relevant medical conditions, medications that affect exercise tolerance, pregnancy/postpartum status, surgeries, injuries, and restrictions. This allows safe programming.
Respect & conduct
We maintain a professional, respectful environment. Unsafe behavior, harassment, or repeated policy violations may result in termination of services.
Virtual Session Policies
Virtual works when it’s coached correctly — and safety is non-negotiable.
Camera-on expectation
Cameras stay on so your trainer can see your movement patterns and coach form safely. If your camera must be off, request alternatives (limits apply for safety).
Client environment safety
You are responsible for a safe training space: clear floor, stable internet, appropriate footwear, and equipment in good condition (if used).
Connectivity issues
If a session is interrupted by connectivity issues, we will attempt to resume promptly. If issues prevent meaningful coaching, we may reschedule at our discretion.
Stop training if…
Stop immediately for chest pain, dizziness/fainting, shortness of breath beyond normal exertion, sharp pain, numbness/tingling, or any symptom that feels unsafe. Notify the trainer. Seek medical help when needed.
Youth Training Policies
Coaching youth athletes means structure, safety, and clear parent/guardian expectations.
Parent/guardian consent
A parent/guardian must complete intake and consent for minors. Emergency contacts must be current. If the athlete has medical restrictions, they must be disclosed.
Age-appropriate training
Youth programming emphasizes mechanics, core strength, mobility, safe strength-building, and sport conditioning that supports growth and reduces injury risk.
Injury & return-to-sport
We can support return-to-sport conditioning within safe limits. We do not replace physical therapy. If a medical provider restricts activity, those restrictions must be followed.
Behavior & coachability
Respect matters. Training requires listening, effort, and coachability. Repeated unsafe behavior may result in pausing services.
Waiver & Legal
Plain language protections so everybody understands risk, responsibility, and boundaries.
Assumption of risk
By participating in training (in-person or virtual), you understand physical activity involves inherent risks, including muscle soreness, strains, sprains, falls, aggravation of pre-existing conditions, and more serious injury. You voluntarily assume these risks and agree to train within your capabilities.
Health responsibility & medical clearance
You confirm that you are medically able to participate or have received medical clearance when appropriate. You agree to disclose relevant conditions, injuries, restrictions, and medications that may affect exercise safety.
Not medical treatment
1RuleTraining provides fitness and performance coaching. It is not a substitute for medical treatment, diagnosis, physical therapy, or mental health care. Always follow your provider’s instructions.
Liability limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree that 1RuleTraining, De’Angelo, and affiliated parties are not responsible for injuries or damages arising from participation, including those related to undisclosed conditions, unsafe environment, misuse of equipment, or failure to follow coaching instructions.
Virtual training disclaimer
Virtual training depends on visibility and communication. You are responsible for a safe space and stable equipment. If you feel unsafe symptoms, you agree to stop immediately and seek help.
Minors & guardian responsibility
For minor participants, the parent/guardian assumes responsibility for disclosure, consent, and emergency contact accuracy. Guardians acknowledge the risks and agree to the same safety expectations.
Photo/video & media release (optional)
You may be asked to consent to photo/video use for marketing (before/after, training clips, testimonials). Consent is optional and can be revoked for future use in writing. We never sell your personal story.
Terms & enforcement
Services may be paused or terminated for repeated no-shows, unpaid balances, unsafe conduct, or refusal to follow safety instructions. We protect the environment and the work.
